Case Study: Tasmin Little
In January 2008 Tasmin Little released "The Naked Violin", a new recording of three works for unaccompanied solo violin as a download from her website, completely free of charge.
UPDATE:: Tasmin Wins Classic FM Gramophone Audience Innovation award
"It was a real thrill to receive the news that my Naked Violin download and project (hosted by IFDNRG) had been chosen to receive the Classic FM Award for Audience Innovation at the Gramophone Awards. The award ceremony, something akin to the Oscars in music circles, took place at lunchtime on Thursday 25th and my only sadness was that, due to performance commitments, I was unable to attend and receive my award in person!"
IFDNRG helped Tasmin to deliver the tremendous demand for her ground breaking album The Naked Violin.
No musician has ventured down this path before - not even the rock band Radiohead, who asked buyers to pay what they thought the recording was worth.
Huge loads no problem for clustered hosting
To handle the deluge of downloads from all the over the world, Tasmin turned to IFDNRG - and our clustered hosting facilities have supplied over 20,000 fans with the album in the first week alone.
The biggest peak so far came after her interview on the Andrew Marr show on Jan 20th, when thousands of fans hit our servers simultaneously.

Paul Macdonald, CEO IFDNRG said
"Tasmin's album is sure to be a success. The sustained downloads we're seeing show no signs of decreasing and we've allocated 3 clustered servers to handle the terrific demand".
