How to get started with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
Search engine optimisation can be a confusing and often difficult to understand process for even experienced web designers and developers. This is partially due to the changing and often private nature of the ranking algorithms, but is also a view not discouraged by dedicated SEO companies keen to maintain that SEO is some kind of black art.
The reality is that good SEO has its foundation in good site structure and design. What's clear and easily understood by your customers, will be the same for the search engines.

What is SEO?
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a process which helps search engines find and rank your site. Results from a 2011 study by Netcraft show that the total number of websites in existence exceeds the 100's of millions, so how can you ensure that your website receives the traffic that it deserves and isn't just lost in the network jungle?
A website which is well-structured and has carefully chosen keyword terms in the title tag, body text, header tags and anchor links to the internal pages of your website will stand out and be more visible to the search engines.
SEO thus helps you get traffic from search engines.
