This release fixes two issues introduced in the PHP 5.3.7 release: Fixed bug #55439 (crypt() returns only the salt for MD5) Reverted a change in timeout handling restoring PHP 5.3.6 behavior, which caused mysqlnd SSL connections to hang (Bug #55283).Full changelog

One of our clients has reported issues using external SMTP servers even on submission ports (587).Orange and a few other ISPs block outgoing connections on their network to try and stop spam email from worms etc.In this case we were unable to get the customer connected to our mail servers and had to revert to oranges SMTP server:(For orange customers only who are having a problem sending mail)Use: smtp.orangehome.co.uk

Mysql Firewall update

Users who connect to MySQL externally (using clients such as SQLYog) will need to email us the IP addresses that they wish to connect to.This is as as result of a firewall policy update whereby access to MySQL is only permitted on the IFDNRG ip range.

We are seeing major problems with a few key DNS providers which will cause issues with clients resolving many domains. This is not anything to do with us or our services, all our services are up as normal. It looks provisionally mainly do with the backlash over wikileaks.

BT have advised us of a second Major Service Outage in the Edinburgh area, this is directly related to the previous issue on Friday 29th October. BT have advised they are in discussions with their hardware vendor and activities to restore service are under way.
